Return to frequently asked questions
Powder Strip can tolerate very little water. Water will destroy the stripping ability of Powder Strip and also breakdown some of the components of the stripper causing attack on softer metals such as zinc or aluminum.
As the amount of water in a bath increases you will see an increase in stripping times and an increased attack on aluminum and zinc especially cast metals.
If parts are removed from the paint stripping bath rinsed and returned to the bath the life of the bath will be decreased.
